Your business is unique. At least, I very much hope it is! A business that has something truly different to offer is the one with the best chance of survival and success. However, communicating that difference and helping your company stand out in the minds of your prospects early in its organisational life cycle is not always an easy task. Today we check out some awesome and very individual ideas to replace the boring old startup business standard - the business card - ranging from promotional tattoos to pin-on badges.

Inked Up: Promotional Tattoos

These are an awesome replacement for a business card. No longer will people just put you away in their wallet and consign you to an alphabetically organised business card holder any more. If you can create a temporary promotional tattoo designs that is strongly branded, but not obviously 'marketing material', you'll get a lot of exposure. If your target audience is in the age range where they can't legally get real tattoos yet, these are an especially effective business card replacement.

Badge It

Badges are another very cool option. For ordinary corporate clients, they can travel back to the office, yet they are a definite point of difference in a minefield of boring old paper or plastic and ink. Make sure you wear your own badges as part of your uniform, just as you would do with these tattoos.

Stickers with Stickability

Like promo tattoos, stickers are another great option for companies with a younger target market. Label your promotional product as 'lunchbox stickers' or 'name badge stickers' to ensure they get visibility with other kids.

Wear Your Brand on Your Sleeve

Proper pins (the type that are made on brass, painted and lacquered) are far more expensive than business cards. However, it's highly unlikely anyone will use them to make miniature paper aeroplanes out of, as well! If your startup is branded as a niche, boutique, high quality experience this is actually a very sensible replacement for a business card. They convey the impression of attention to detail, and of doing whatever it takes to get great quality.

Sew-on badges

Like stickers and pinned badges, sew-on badges are still fairly office friendly, but can also move around and become more visible branding on school bags, satchels, camping supplies etc.

Toys

Does your company have a mascot or an anthropomorphised (human-like!) character forming part of the logo? Several enterprising companies use toys made out of their company mascot as branding instead of business cards. You can have them labelled or etched to include your contact details, and they'll work with the same market that promotional tattoos and stickers do.

It's not surprising if you've heard of an aztec tattoo before. Afterall, these are some of the most popular tattoo sub-designs. Before you decide to get one though, you should check out some important points about the Aztecs and their tattoos.

Aztec Tattoo

An Aztec tattoo is a sub-category by itself. Most of us know that the Aztecs were once a powerful and culturally well developed people that flourished in Mexico from the 14th to the 16th centuries. We would normally associate them with their magnificent architectural designs, complex culture, religiosity and unique artistic style. Their art of tattooing in particular has met with great interest in modern times because of their intricate and deeply symbolic patterns.

Why You Want One

People can have different reasons for getting this kind of tattoo design. An Aztec tattoo has a resounding cultural flavor to it. A person may therefore wish to have a tattoo design that has Aztec origins for racial or cultural reasons. Those who have Aztec blood may want to preserve and retain their sense of connection to their ancestors. There are also quite a few people who are simply very interested in the Aztec culture. For them having an Aztec tattoo is a way of paying tribute to the great Aztec culture. There are also some people who appreciate this kind of tattoo for its symbolism. The sun for example is a recurring symbol in Aztec art. Those who have the Aztec sun on them may wish to send out the message of life and strength.

Design Sources

Choose your design properly. The tattoo that you get should match your preference and intention exactly. Here are some possible sources of Aztec tattoo designs:

- If you want an authentic design that was really used by Aztec people, then you might have to consult an expert academician or look through textbooks. You would need to do this if you want to be sure that your Aztec tattoo design is not a mere imitation or adaptation. The Aztec calendar for example is a popular design with accurate copies in textbooks and even in online sources.

- Quite possibly, tattoo parlors and artists will have their own collection of these designs too. You should be prepared though for the possibility that some of the designs might not be accurate representations. You could ask an artist for the meaning of some of the designs. A reputable artist will tell you honestly if he has no idea about a particular design.

- You can also get free designs of these kinds in online sites. You could sign up for a good membership site, print some designs and cross check them with other sources for accuracy.

Choosing an Artist

Aztec designs are generally complicated. You should therefore be very careful in your choice of artist. An inexperienced one could ruin your tattoo. It would be better for you if you took the time to look for an artist who has had some experience in handling Aztec designs.

Vampire tattoos can be very disturbing. Obviously that's the point of the tattoo. Vampire tattoos are one type of gothic tattoo that people are getting. Sometimes the images are vampire women or maybe just teeth.

There are people to whom vampire tattoos can be a method of self expression and it doesn't have to be that dark. Supposed you feel that you are a night person. Your body comes alive once the sun goes down. Several times in your life you or someone may have described you as a vampire. No, you're not interested in living off blood but you are so much more productive in the night hours.

Since there aren't many vampire tattoos in the mainstream, you want to be careful that you don't get a tattoo that has been replicated many times over. Don't go to a tattoo parlor looking for a vampire tattoo, even if it's a gothic tattoo parlor. Most tattoo designs in parlors have already been inked on someone. You can get an idea of what you may want but then you must go on a quest to find a unique tattoo design for you.

The way to find your unique tattoo design is to browse online tattoo galleries. You may think that they only have the run of the mill tattoos, but you are wrong. There are some galleries that have hundreds of the type of designs that you are looking for. Your best bet is to take a couple different designs and combine them for the tattoo look that you want.

For something as complicated and intense as vampire tattoos, you want to make sure you go to a tattoo parlor and get an artist that is familiar with gothic tattoos. You don't want the great design you picked messed up by someone unfamiliar with this type of design. You can find a large tattoo parlor directory is some online tattoo galleries.

Everywhere you will read about girl tattoo pictures. Tattoos with female attributes, represents female beauty and their character. Girl tattoo lists are available in abundance. But what about males? Are there some tattoos especially for us...tattoos that will symbolize the character and quality of men? Their masculinity! Yes there are plenty of them.

There are not many exclusive tattoo pictures for men like flowers and fairies like for females, but there are few which can be ideal for you guys so you can show your man power and strength.

The most popular is a fire dragon. Girls rarely sport fire dragon pictures. They are mostly preferred by men. They stand for heroism. It is said that only the strongest can capture the fire dragon. So to show that power and strength men have fire dragon tattoos. Also in Chinese culture it was believed that that fire dragon served the king and protected him so it also shows you as the great king.

Then there is tiger tattoo pictures. It is the symbol of power which can capture and defeat anyone else. It is also ferocious and fast. IT is also sometimes considered as cruel on its prey. Now wouldn't a man like to be so powerful to defeat anyone else?

Then there are Celtic tattoos. It is believed that the Celt warriors had tattoos of different designs of knots. All of them had significance of its own. Even the nobles and knights including famous king Arthur are Celts. So many of the Celtic tattoo pictures are from the manuscripts which has its link to warriors. They stand for noble, strong and powerful men who were highly respected in their times.

Then there are not so popular demon tattoo pictures. Girls don't like to be demons as they love fairies, tiny cute little fairies....not huge evil demons.

You can even look at your favorite male celebrity for some other great ideas for male tattoo pictures!

1. Wrist Tattoo - The wrist is a good place to get a tattoo they will heal up fine, but for a female the wrist is not a very attractive place to get a tattoo. The placement on the wrist is most often thought of as masculine. Often the thinness of wrist skin will allow for easy "blowing out"or fuzziness of the tattooed lines, leaving even the most dainty flower and vine tattoo design looking thick and ugly in the future.

2. Forearm Tattoo - The skin of the forearm is some the best for tattooing on the body, it stretches easy doesn't wear much against the body and often heals nicely. But on woman its not exactly the most feminine place to get a tattoo. Often the lady will try and get a very feminine design on the foreman to soften the blow but its still a very visible tattoo and to most not very attractive on a female.

3. Neck Tattoo - Whether on the back of the neck or the side, the neck tattoo is a red flag of future regret. The skin itself is fine for tattooing and the ink holds well. Neck tattoos may hold up well over time, but its another place where no matter what is tattooed it will never be feminine.

4. Between the breast - Skin wise some of the best flesh on the body is found on the chest. Ugly tattoo wise there are few places uglier for a woman to get tattooed then between the breast. I have tattooed several woman with a sword between the breast I always wonder how ridiculous these tattoos will look when the woman are old.

5. Face Tattoo - Facial tattooing is not as common with woman as it with men, tattoos of actual designs on woman's faces are rare to see. Far less rare is woman getting eyeliner and lip liner tattooed, i have seen it often but have rarely seen it done well, also a little known fact is that all tattoos are scars and scars itch, so at some point all that facial tattooing is going to get real annoying.

6. Toe Tattoo - Even a very well done toe tattoo will heal up and turn out bad. Often the woman will get a small flower or lady bug, it will look okay for a day or so, then parts of the tattoo design will start to fall off with the bandage. After the tattoo heals the lines will be thick and ugly. The skin is terrible for tattooing and only the most basic designs will actually look good over time.
